When someone asks AI who to call, does it name you?
Customers increasingly ask assistants for recommendations instead of browsing ten blue links. I examine what the major assistants say, which businesses they mention and what verifiable facts your site makes available.
Free Scan · No call, no card · Within one business day
No one can promise a mention in an AI answer. We can inspect the answer and improve what sources can verify.
Being online is not the same as being recommendable.
If your business name, service area, offering, ownership or reputation cannot be checked consistently, an assistant has little confidence in recommending it. The first job is to find what the assistants actually say—not claim to know what they will say.
What I actually check.
No mystery packages. The diagnosis determines which of these steps matters most.
Ask the questions
Run representative service-and-city prompts, document dates and record the answers.
Trace the evidence
Review business identity, services, address, reviews, structured information and corroborating sources.
Strengthen the facts
Make essential business details clear, accessible and consistent across the website and relevant listings.
Recheck visibility
Compare future answers to a recorded baseline without claiming that mentions are guaranteed.
Four assistants. Real questions. No made-up visibility score.
assistants examined in the free Scan: ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini.
Make the facts easier to verify. Do not try to fool the model.
There is no honest button marked “rank me first in ChatGPT.” These systems change, their answers vary, and they do not hand a business guaranteed placement. I am interested in what they can corroborate: a genuine business, services explained clearly, sensible local signals and evidence outside the company’s own sales copy.
I do not treat AI visibility as a separate miracle product. It sits alongside search, technical accessibility, local presence and conversion. The free Scan shows what the assistants say today. The Revenue Audit decides what is worth fixing and what is noise.
Rankings are vanity. Revenue is sanity.
Thirty years in discovery. Not thirty years in AI.
I started in search in 1996, long before Google and much longer before conversational assistants. My background includes agencies and SEO leadership for major automotive and home-service networks. That history helps me distinguish durable discoverability work from a passing checklist.
AI answer visibility is a new channel, and I do not pretend it has existed for thirty years. The homepage currently shows strong case studies on technical structure, local pages and customer journeys, but not a dedicated client case proving improved AI mentions. The related field notes below explain the discoverability foundation; they are not presented as proof of AI-answer gains.
Related work. Actual lessons.
These are selected notes published on the current homepage. Each links to the original story.
Editorial note: The field notes below are evidence of related search, web and conversion work—not AI-answer outcome case studies.
Ranking for the name. Invisible for the service.
A five-page website left its most valuable service-and-location queries without pages.
340,000 URLs. Only 11,040 products.
A technical architecture problem buried the useful product pages under faceted URLs.
The pricing page buyers were looking for
Price questions are part of search intent, and useful answers can move a buyer closer to enquiry.
AI answer visibility. Questions answered.
No gatekeeping, no jargon. If something is missing, email hello@theseosavant.com.
Can you guarantee ChatGPT will recommend my business?
No. Neither I nor any consultant controls assistant responses. The work documents current visibility and improves the business facts and signals assistants may use.
Which AI assistants do you check?
The current free Scan checks ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini using business-and-location questions relevant to your market.
Is this different from regular SEO?
Yes, because answers can be synthesized without a traditional search-results page. But many foundations overlap: clear service content, crawlable pages, accurate business identity and credible local references.
Can I pay to be included in AI answers?
Some platforms may offer separate advertising products, but the organic recommendations examined here are not something I can purchase or guarantee.
What will the free report show me?
The site describes a free Scan of your website, Google Business Profile and the four AI assistants, with findings and named competitors. It is a diagnostic starting point, not a promise of future placements.
How quickly can visibility change?
There is no reliable universal timeline. Assistant answers vary and source updates propagate differently. The sensible approach is to record a baseline, fix verifiable issues and recheck on a consistent cadence.
Do you have a published AI-visibility case study?
Not a dedicated one among the homepage field notes reviewed for these pages. The linked notes demonstrate related search, local and site-architecture foundations; they should not be mistaken for measured AI-answer outcomes.
Find the leak.
Keep the revenue.
You do not need to know which service to buy. That is the point of the diagnosis. Start free, then decide what to do with the answer.
No call · No card · No pre-selected package
First I look at the site. Then I tell you what matters. Then you decide who fixes it.
